Guys,

I updated my Windows 10 pro about a month back and now I can start a race and watch my frame rate go from 90s to a sudden 30s then back up.. When I do a restore the game works fine. Only issue I need to be able to update the PC beyond 1909. Has anyone else had this issue and know a fix. This only happens on Nascar Racing 2003 the rest of the game seems to run fine.

I'm currently on 21H1 It looks like the issue started around a security update back during my 2004 version. I tried updating ahead but it hasn't corrected the issue. I really don't want to go backward again. I hoping someone here has found the workaround without having to stop security updates on the OS.

FYI I've done the rollbacks in the past...

Thanks,
Freddy

FYI for those who don't know, every time Windows 10 does a major update i.e.. the blue screen update Windows defaults you back to using one core, you have to go into system configuration to change it. This causes and clears up a lot of problems, I have it on my start menu so I don't have to look for it every time. Also, those of you with Logitech wheel, you have to start up the Wingman or what ever it's called now before you play any driving games for your wheel to work right.

I wasn’t aware you could adjust the core setting? could you post a link or information on this?

thanks

No worries bud. Always make sure you PC is using everything you have available, Windows seems to think everything runs on as little power and memory as possible.

It’s too bad that N2k3 is so old that it is CPU reliant vs GPU. At this point I’m just happy it still works with Windows 10 and my Ultra wide monitor. LOL
