Sorry late getting back to all of you. When I open up new NextGen_LEFTY psd file in paint shop x2, it opens up into a single layer. Ill open it up in paint.net and it shows the layers. trying to get it to open all layers in pspx2. I'm stumped

You need a higher version of PSP to open
When I use psp x9 and 2021 then I have no issues

If I use psp 9 I have the same issue as you
It has to do with the number of layers on the template

I’m trying the 21 version now for 30 days. I’m thinking after all these years of buying older years, time to buy a brand new model. Thanks for the incentive. Just trying to get used to all the different things compared to PSP 12

I downloaded the latest Corel PSP 2021 64-bit and was able to open it up in layers and save it (export) as a layered PSD.
I tried it in Gimp and it would save in a supported file but wouldnt open in PSP as a supported file. Paint.net wouldn't either.

I recently upgraded from PSP X2 to PSP 2021 myself. 64 bit helps with RAM. No more out of memory issues. I could not open large PSD files or those with too many layers. Only issue is many plugins don't work since they are 32 bit and many did not work after upgrading to WIN 10. I keep PSP X2 so I can still use a remove white plugin that's great for removing backgrounds on logos.
