Those all look amazing running together. Really proud of how far you've come in such a short amount of time!
Thanks man, you've taught me a ton, and I cannot thank you enough for your help my friend! It also helps now that I'm designing our LED's we run in our stadium now, so I'm taking what I learn there and applying it to painting x'D

48 cars finished? That's more than a full pack! Can you please give us an estimated release date if that's okay?
I've been pretty swamped with my job, were down a graphic designer, and quite a few other positions so I've been filling in these roles at work. So my time painting has been limited, however, like I've said before, my initial goal is the full 63 man standings, and most secondary schemes. Luckily, out of the 130 cars planned, 50 of the secondary's are just small logo changes, driver changes (cough cough looking at you Bill Elliott, and Diamondridge Motorsports). With new pit crews, I'm hoping to release this in late December or early January depending on how much I can get done after our season ends on Halloween.

Here is Winston West driver Scott Gaylord's #00 1996 Oliver Gravity Separator's Chevy Monte Carlo. Gaylord fielded Geoff Burney's entry in the 1996 Summer race at Sears Point, and he finished 29th out of 44. He also attempted to qualify for the Phoenix race in the fall but failed to qualify.

S/O to Slippy's thread and all the help he's been getting for his '97 Suzuka set, with the 1996 ESPN broadcast, and random photos here is the most accurate version we can get based off what is currently on the internet!

Are you sure that car was all white like that? I thought for sure the cup car matched the West car where the orange angled up towards the back similar to the Krogh car. I could totally be mistaken

EDIT: I just watched the start of the Sears Point race and yep. I was Mistaken. Sorry about that.

No worries! I love that I have people willing to check my work for quality and accuracy, it's the only way to guarantee a historically accurate paint! I thought I hit the jackpot when some picture surfaced in Slippy's thread, and I went back to the replay of the race and was really only able to find two shots that gave me a baseline on the scheme. TBH a Winston West set ranging from 95-99 would be cool, but that's a project for another day LOL. Here are the pictures I grabbed from the broadcast!

I can help you with that one. I'll send you some stuff tonight if I get a chance. I did this car originally for the 96 set on Cup90 and then again (a better version) for the updated 1995 set.

Made some great progress on the set over the past few weeks, mainly going back over every car and making edits. Starting on secondary's now. First up, Dale Earnhardt's 1996 All-Star Race paint scheme. The Intimidator drops the all black Chevy we're accustomed to and sports a very patriotic scheme promoting the upcoming summer Olympics in Atlanta that year. After leading 8 laps, he finished 3rd in the 1996 Wintson.

Here is Terry Labonte's Spring North Wilkesboro race win. After leading 167 laps, Labonte took his iron man scheme to victory lane, and just like his career consistency, that consistency won him a championship in 1996. Completely redid the base scheme and the work shows here as well.

Is this skin really necessary? You do know that Dale Sr's Olympics car already came with cup98, right?

As a matter of fact, YES it is necessary. It is necessary for two reasons. 1: Our buddy here decided he wanted to include it, and that he wanted to paint it. and 2: because it was a 1996 scheme and this is a 1996 set, it belongs in the 1996 set.
Most people keep their car files seperated by year so having it specifically in the 1996 set makes perfect sense. Having a 96 scheme floating around in a "set" mixed years cars never made much sense. Plus, the ratings on the existing car would not necessarily fit with the ratings used on the new set.
